- Solo players looking for a story-focused adventure rather than repeated defense missions
Our take on Stonewards
The mining-and-defense structure trades uninterrupted combat for preparation periods between waves. Time spent exploring procedural mines is necessary for resources, but returning late leaves the stronghold short one defender when the next attack begins.
What is Stonewards?
Stonewards is a first-person roguelite defense game for solo play or co-op groups of up to four players.
Missions send dwarves from their base camp to threatened kingdoms, where they defend a stronghold against monster attacks. After each wave, players enter procedurally generated mines to collect metals and other materials before the next attack. Resources can be used between waves to craft arrows, repair defenses, and obtain randomized upgrades. During attacks, players hold walls and gates, coordinate defenses, and retreat or regroup when enemies breach the outer lines. A mission ends when the kingdom falls, while surviving allows the run to continue.
