What is Steamroll?
Steamroll is an adventure puzzle game with minigolf elements set in a steampunk mine.
Players control the Scarabeus, a rolling vehicle that can transform at designated bases to refill its steam tank and launch steamballs. Each shot requires choosing an angle and force to solve environmental puzzles, including pressing buttons, activating switches, opening doors, clearing obstacles, and reaching elevated areas. Steamballs can deploy walls, explosives, and ramps after launch, while walls provide surfaces for later bounces. Resources are limited at each deployment base, so solving the mine’s challenges requires managing shots and positioning. The story follows a young engineer trying to escape a collapsing mine while meeting unusual characters.
