Our take on Star Chart
Its defining format is a virtual planetarium that combines a real-time Earth-based night-sky view with a navigable 3D model of the solar system.
What is Star Chart?
Explore the solar system and night sky through a real-time 3D simulation available in VR with Vive or Oculus Rift, as well as on regular desktop devices.
The experience includes the Sun, planets, major moons, and named rocky planet surface details. Sky View recreates the visible night sky from GPS coordinates, while the star simulation shows how it appears from Earth. The software also includes all 88 constellations, based on artwork by Johannes Hevelius. Users can view the solar system from above, look around Saturn’s rings, and travel among distant worlds including Pluto. Star Chart is presented as a virtual planetarium and astronomy experience rather than a conventional game.
