Our take on Spikit
Rather than using the casual genre's usual low-pressure structure, Spikit builds its play around constant danger and forward planning. The central task is not exploration or collection variety, but reading the next spike formation while surviving the current one.
What is Spikit?
Spikit is a bullet hell game centered on avoiding spikes that enter from the sides of the screen.
Survival requires reacting to hazards already present while watching for the following wave and moving into a safer position. The score increases with the length of each run, while the challenge grows over time. Boxes can appear during play and act as the game's currency. Collecting enough boxes unlocks new skins and themes, which are primarily visual changes. The game was developed by Igor Petrović and features a soundtrack composed by Dario Malešević.
How Spikit plays
- 01Incoming Spike Waves
- Hazards arrive from the sides, requiring attention to both the current pattern and the next one.
- 02Increasing Difficulty
- The challenge rises as a run continues, while longer survival produces a higher final score.
- 03Cosmetic Unlocks
- Collected boxes can be spent on skins and themes that mainly change appearance.
