What is Speed Stars?
Speed Stars is a rhythm-based running game built around four track events: 60m, 100m, 200m and 400m.
Two controls move the runner, while race results depend on timing, rhythm, pacing and composure. Shorter events emphasize speed; longer races add energy management. Each distance has performance benchmarks ranging from “noob” to “superstar. ” Races can include up to seven AI opponents, online competitor ghosts and the player’s own previous performances. AI difficulty adjusts to personal-best times. Players can customize runners with different body types, clothing, colors and randomization, then unlock additional characters with differing strengths and weaknesses. Additional options cover stadium themes, music, controls and camera view. Leaderboards show all-time scores and results among Steam friends.

Speed Stars compared to similar games

Absolute Drift focuses on drifting across 34 tracks, and JDM: Japanese Drift Master combines open-world driving, story progression and Japanese street-racing culture. Wild Animal Racing also uses cars, but presents racing through animal drivers and a fictional setting.
