What is Soundboxing?
A VR kickboxing game built around punching in time with music videos.
Players can search YouTube for music, follow challenges, and score points through consecutive correct punches and punch strength. A creation mode lets players record their own beat-based challenges for others to attempt. Challenges can be shared through web links with people outside VR. Leaderboards record high scores, while a robot puppet replays successful performances as a boxing match. The game takes place in an outdoor setting and uses motion-tracked controllers with the HTC Vive. Dancing is also presented as part of the intended play style.
