Players control Toho monsters including Godzilla, Mothra, and King Ghidorah while fighting Fungoids across six worlds, each containing multiple stages. Clearing stages in fewer turns earns more points, and stages can be replayed to improve scores. After completing the surface, players can attempt a harder underside. A stage-building system allows custom challenges to be created and shared with other players. Investigation Reports placed throughout the stages reveal the reasons behind the Fungoid invasion and Godzilla's role in the conflict.
