Is Soulsland worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who want medieval combat across a fixed set of 14 maps
- Action RPG fans who prefer boss encounters on every level
- Solo players seeking weapon variety with health recovery points
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a large open world or a long-form role-playing campaign may find the 14-map structure limited.
- Players who prefer varied bosses may find repeated Lord Zaiden encounters repetitive.
- Players looking for climbing puzzles, multiplayer shooting, or runner gameplay should consider other types of action games.
Our take on Soulsland
The repeated Lord Zaiden boss structure gives the campaign a clear objective, but it may reduce enemy and encounter variety across the 14 maps. Weapon choices and healing points add some variation without changing the game's focus on level-by-level combat.
What is Soulsland?
Soulsland is a medieval RPG about rescuing souls trapped by Lord Zaiden.
Across 14 themed maps, each containing Zaiden clones and his army, players must defeat or bypass enemies, locate the level's boss, and win the final confrontation. Barbarus can use several weapons, including a sword, double sword, and bow. Health potions and bonfires restore health during the journey. Defeating Lord Zaiden on each level removes the magical glass shield holding the captured souls. The game also includes Steam achievements.
