What is Smintheus?
Smintheus is a 2D action-adventure puzzle game about Gerald, a young mouse craftsman fleeing Lanky, his former feline friend.
Gerald travels through mystical wastelands, abandoned mines, mountain sewers and a magical forest while trying to escape the cat. Nearly 24 gadgets can be used to solve riddles, pass obstacles, handle danger and fight enemies. Puzzles include moving boxes and operating levers, switches and gates, along with challenges that require combining gadgets. Side quests and books provide experience points for unlocking optional perks. The perks are not required to complete the game. The soundtrack draws inspiration from late-1980s music, with a separate tune for each moment of the adventure.
