AdventureIs SLUDGE LIFE worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who enjoy first-person exploration with freedom to choose their own activities
- Fans of graffiti themes who want to mark locations around an open-world setting
- Players who enjoy unusual, exploratory games with secrets and multiple endings
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a tightly directed sequence of missions may find the free-roaming structure too open-ended.
- Players looking for a large world may find the island's deliberately small setting limiting.
- Players seeking combat-focused gameplay may find the emphasis on exploration and tagging a poor match.
Our take on SLUDGE LIFE
The open-ended island format gives room to wander and choose activities, but offers less direction than a mission-led game. Its small setting also limits the area available for exploration, making the experience depend on engaging with the island's details and optional activities.
What is SLUDGE LIFE?
Explore a small, polluted island as GHOST, an aspiring tagger competing to claim space among the graffiti elite.
Roam a landscape covered in corporate branding, talk with other taggers, and look for secrets. The game leaves the player free to choose how to spend time: tag open spaces, enter the sludge-pumping corporation GLUG in search of an escape, or pursue another path. Activities include downloading apps to a laptop and playing games within the game, photographing wildlife and non-player characters, and using a dedicated fart button. The story has three distinct endings.
