Our take on Slip
The color system gives nearly every hazard a timing consequence, but that focus leaves little room for relaxed movement. Instant-death mistakes, fast hazards, and increasingly demanding speed settings make precision the central trade-off, even though checkpoints and unlimited lives reduce the cost of repeated attempts.
What is Slip?
Slip is a side-scrolling platformer built around switching between two colors.
Matching a projectile’s color lets the protagonist absorb it, while the opposite color causes immediate destruction. Colored surfaces, spikes, launch rings, gravity wells, and vertical-shifting platforms also respond to color matching. The game contains 12 levels connected by an overworld, with linear progression and frequent checkpoints; lives are unlimited. Each level ends with a mini-boss or boss sequence in which movement is restricted to horizontal positioning. Beyond the main stages, 20 challenge levels add further platforming tests. Three difficulty settings adjust game speed to 100%, 110%, or 120%. Skill-based accessory unlocks provide additional cosmetic rewards.
How Slip plays
- 01Color-based hazards
- Projectiles, surfaces, spikes, launch rings, gravity wells, and shifting platforms react to the currently selected color.
- 02Linear campaign
- The 12-stage progression unlocks each level after the preceding one is completed, with an overworld linking the stages.
- 03Frequent checkpoints
- Checkpoints are placed throughout levels, and attempts are not restricted by a limited lives system.
- 04Boss sequences
- Every level concludes with a mini-boss or boss encounter centered on left-and-right positioning.
- 05Challenge stages
- Twenty additional levels provide platforming tests separate from the main campaign.
- 06Variable game speed
- Normal, Hard, and Sassy settings run at 100%, 110%, and 120% speed respectively.
- 07Skill-based accessories
- Gameplay achievements such as finishing a level without dying can unlock clothing items.

SUPER CHICKEN JUMPER also uses runner-style movement with jumping, dodging, shooting, and enemy destruction, while Slip centers on color matching, platform hazards, and boss positioning. Slip offers a 12-level linear campaign plus 20 challenge stages, whereas the available description for SUPER CHICKEN JUMPER presents a runner with shooting elements rather than color-based platforming.
