Slam Fighter II is a 2D rhythm fighting game built around typed insults.
Six voiced trash talkers compete by entering putdowns in time with a retro-inspired soundtrack, reducing an opponent’s hitpoints through successful timing. Single-player Campaign Mode provides a progression path, while local Versus Mode supports hotseat play and can use a second keyboard as an additional controller. Characters have distinct strengths and weaknesses, and submitted insults must be real words. The Steam Edition includes 10 EDM tracks, six animated stage backgrounds with an option to disable the moving visuals, pause functionality, achievements, leaderboards, a high-score table, resolution settings, and a gallery containing unlockable character profiles and artwork.
