Our take on Skyraine
The game divides attention between firing from a fixed turret and leaving it to collect supplies or repair and extend the base. That trade-off makes base upkeep part of the defense loop, rather than keeping the focus solely on shooting.
What is Skyraine?
Skyraine is a platform and missile-defense game set on an alien planet, where a turret protects a base from waves of enemies.
Aim and fire from the turret, using several kinds of ammunition and power-ups against enemies with different weapons and behaviors. Between waves, leave the turret to collect supplies, repair the base, and extend it with ladders and girders. Supplies also include batteries for the shield generator, mines, and limited-ammo autoguns. The game has 4 difficulty levels and local co-op for up to 3 players. Enemy waves introduce new threats as the game progresses, and the vendor describes the final difficulty as requiring strategy beyond the aim and precision useful in early levels.
How Skyraine plays
- 01Base expansion
- Ladders and girders let players extend the base above and below ground between attacks.
- 02Varied ammunition

- 03Base supplies
- Players can collect batteries, mines, and autoguns, which have limited ammunition.
- 04Local co-op
- Up to 3 players can face enemy waves together on one local multiplayer game.
- 05Four difficulty levels
- The game offers 4 difficulties, with the vendor describing them as increasingly challenging.
