Our take on Skilltree Saga
The repeated-run structure gives up uninterrupted campaign progress: falling in a dungeon sends the character back to the beginning. Retained experience softens that reset, but individual dungeon attempts remain temporary and failure-driven.
What is Skilltree Saga?
Skilltree Saga is a rogue-like RPG set in Aventuria, the world of The Dark Eye.
Players choose a human, elf, or dwarf and pursue a kidnapped noble through a conflict involving orks, goblins, and the Dark Ruler Sargul. Combat uses turn-based duels, elemental magic, and learned or upgraded skills. More than 100 dungeon stages contain randomly generated monsters, treasure, healing fountains, and several dungeon routes. Equipment can improve attributes such as Strength, Cleverness, and Constitution. A market allows equipment trading and provision purchases, while diamonds can buy astral and healing potions. Defeat grants experience and Adventure Points for skill development. Falling in a dungeon requires starting again, with earned experience retained for future attempts.
