Our take on Skigill
The defining structure is the large battleground sigil: each run turns movement and upgrade selection into route planning because the entire network cannot be claimed at once.
What is Skigill?
Skigill is a bullet-hell roguelike survivor set in an otherworldly pocket dimension.
Adventurers fight through 15 minutes of enemy waves while collecting resources to invest in nodes on a large magic sigil. Nodes can increase statistics, provide weapons, or grant perks, but each run allows access to only part of the sigil. Three playable heroes start with distinct weapons, perks, and positions, while reaching other zones allows their strategies to be combined. Chests contain more than 40 weapons, and more than 30 perks add effects to builds. A second sigil provides permanent stat increases, weapon unlocks, and characters. Harder difficulties become available through progression. There is no tutorial or text, so synergies are discovered through experimentation.
How Skigill plays
- 01Battleground skill tree
- Resources purchase nodes across a large sigil, while route choices limit how much of it can be reached in one run.
- 02Three playable heroes
- The Strongman, Sorcerer, and Fox begin from different positions with individual weapons and perks.
- 03Weapon variety
- More than 40 weapons can be found in chests and incorporated into changing builds.
- 04Perk combinations
- More than 30 perks add effects including lightning attacks, healing, and explosions triggered by game actions.
- 05Permanent progression
- The meta-sigil grants lasting statistic increases, specific weapon unlocks, and additional characters.
