Our take on Skid Cities
The defining structure is a city that can grow both upward and downward, with up to 100 underground levels whose placement affects desirability and industry.
What is Skid Cities?
Build a cyberpunk city in 2092, placing slums, skyscrapers, factories, cyborg nests, and secret-service facilities.
Expand upward with tower bases and vertical streets, or build as many as 100 underground levels. Levels affect desirability, industry, and one another. The city can be utopian, dystopian, or a mix of both, with its character adjusting to those choices. As it grows, corporations and organized crime may seek influence. The city also exists amid android production, unrest, rising sea levels, and geopolitical changes. Choose whether to oppose, accept, or ignore groups that seek a place in the city, while shaping development above, below, or across the existing urban landscape.
How Skid Cities plays
- 01Vertical city building
- Construction can extend into the sky or descend through 100 underground levels.
- 02Mixed city identities
- Different districts can take on utopian or dystopian character within one city.
- 03Faction influence
- Corporations and organized crime may seek offices, headquarters, or influence as the city grows.
- 04Interacting levels
- Levels affect desirability and industry, as well as one another.
