Our take on Sierra Madre: The Wild West
Rather than treating a western shooter as a sequence of gunfights, the game combines outlaw hunting with hunger, thirst, water treatment, cooking, camp placement, and horseback travel. The open map and survival routines replace a more linear action structure.
What is Sierra Madre: The Wild West?
Play as a U.
S. Marshall in an open-world first-person shooter set in the 1870s. Travel across a 25 square kilometer Wild West map on horseback, hunt outlaws and animals, rescue locals, and complete three mission types: Town Liberator, Delivery, and Outlaw Hunter. Survival requires collecting water, hunting food, sterilizing water, cooking at a campfire, and setting up camp to save progress. Enemies can drop random items such as ammunition, water, or whiskey. Combat uses Old West weapons, with options to fight on foot or charge enemies from horseback. Locals can be deputized, and a replacement horse can be purchased if the current one dies. Additional maps and other features are planned for future updates.
