Our take on Call of Juarez
The defining detail is the opposing-character structure: Billy and Reverend Ray alternate as playable figures, with separate abilities and gameplay styles tied to each role.
What is Call of Juarez?
Call of Juarez is a Western-themed first-person shooter in which the player alternates between Billy, a fugitive who uses stealth, and Reverend Ray, the man hunting him.
The two characters have different abilities and produce different gameplay. Features include revolver duels, horseback riding, mounted shooting, stealth actions, whip-based fighting, object movement, and akimbo firearm use. Physics systems involving rigid bodies, rag-dolls, liquids, gases, fire, smoke, and dust create non-linear situations. The game presents a serious Wild West setting across locations styled after Western films and includes a storyline with twists. Online features are no longer supported as of October 2024.
