What is SHOCK TROOPERS?
This top-down action shooter sends players through battlefield missions to rescue Dr.
George and his granddaughter from the Bloody Scorpions. Arcade play offers a solo Lonely Wolf mode or a team of three soldiers selected from eight mercenary characters. The route chosen at the start changes how the game progresses, supporting repeated runs with different paths. Online co-op allows two players to clear missions together through Steam. Leaderboards show personal, friend, and wider rankings and scores. Settings include language, display-language, video, and sound-volume options. The game originally appeared on NEOGEO MVS in 1997 and is available on Steam. It does not run on Windows XP.
