SimulationIs Shivering Sky worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players interested in operating a bomber's guns rather than piloting the aircraft
- First-person action players who want to engage enemy interceptors from turret positions
- Players seeking missions that include attacking enemy aircraft and fire support ships
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want to fly the aircraft will hit a hard limit: piloting is not allowed.
- Players looking for roles beyond gunner positions may find the focus on observing and shooting restrictive.
- Players seeking a broader range of objectives may find the stated goal centers on destroying enemy aircraft or fire support ships.
Our take on Shivering Sky
The clearest stopping point is the cockpit: players cannot control the aircraft. Anyone expecting to steer the bomber will instead remain in a gunner role, choosing among four turret positions and engaging targets during the mission.
What is Shivering Sky?
Shivering Sky puts players in a B-25 gunner role during bombing missions.
From a first-person view, players shoot at enemy interceptors and support friendly air forces. Four turret positions are available: side, tail, top, and nose. Players cannot pilot the aircraft; the focus is observing and fighting from gunner positions, with some orders available to override. Movement through the bomber includes passages modeled on those found in a real B-25. The main objective is to reduce enemy reinforcements by destroying enemy aircraft, fire support ships, or both.
How Shivering Sky plays
- 01Four gunner positions
- Players can choose among side, tail, top, and nose turrets to resist enemy attacks.
- 02Bomber interior movement
- Players can move through passages based on those found inside a real B-25.
- 03Order overrides
- The gunner can override some orders while supporting friendly forces.
