Our take on ShapeRockets
Instead of centering a shooter on weapon variety, ShapeRockets replaces its combat logic with a three-way counter system. Shape selection determines both the target to attack and the threat to evade, while floating movement and limited lives frame each match as a series of tactical standoffs.
What is ShapeRockets?
ShapeRockets is an online multiplayer first-person shooter built around Rock, Paper, Scissors.
Players select one of three shapes, attack the shape it defeats, and evade the shape that defeats it. A recharge allows mid-match shape changes. Movement takes place in dark arenas where players float in any direction and illuminate the space with shapes, rockets, and kill explosions. Players can take three hits before dying; after three deaths, they leave the match. Online games support 2–8 participants through a lobby system. Single-player tutorial levels introduce the rules and contain a hidden story. The game also includes a last-shape-floating elimination structure.
How ShapeRockets plays

- 05Online Lobbies
- Matches accommodate 2–8 participants through a lobby system for joining or hosting.
- 06Tutorial Levels
- Single-player stages teach the basic rules and include a hidden story.
ShapeRockets compared to similar games
ShapeRockets uses online first-person shooting with Rock, Paper, Scissors counters, floating arenas, and elimination rules. Abyssus also focuses on multiplayer shooting, but its description centers on cooperative roguelite progression through hand-crafted levels, brine-powered weapons, and weapon refitting with ancient technologies.
