Play it if you…
Good fit- Action-platformer players who want trap-filled stages and close-quarters combat
- Players who enjoy pursuing hidden areas and higher level ranks

Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want a low-pressure campaign may hit a wall at the challenging levels and harder campaign variations.
- Players who prefer one fixed difficulty may find the Hardcore and Master Class versions an obstacle after the normal campaign.
- Players looking for a story told primarily through gameplay may not connect with the motion-comic presentation.
Our take on Shadow Blade: Reload
The clearest wall arrives after the normal campaign: Hardcore and Master Class raise the challenge, while the levels already include traps and armed enemies. Players who want to finish the story without taking on tougher variations can stop at the standard campaign.
What is Shadow Blade: Reload?
Shadow Blade: Reload is an action-platformer about Kuro, a ninja caught in a struggle between three clans.
Run through stages, avoid environmental hazards and fight enemies with a katana, shurikens and kusarigama. The campaign has more than 50 levels, with hidden areas that can affect level ranks. Guards can be attacked before they raise the alarm. After the normal campaign, players can try Hardcore and Master Class variations. Challenge modes include leaderboards for comparing stats with friends and other players. Motion comics with voice acting tell Kuro’s story. A level editor lets players create stages and upload them to Steam Workshop. The game also includes achievements and Steam Cloud saving.
