This remake is an arcade-style first-person shooter covering three settings: South America, ancient Mesopotamia, and medieval Europe.
Solo play includes 27 enemy types, five new enemies, three bosses, more than 130 secrets, power-ups, and weapons such as a sniper rifle, flamethrower, and chainsaw. Multiplayer supports up to 16 players through campaign co-op, Survival, Coin-Op, Beast Hunt, deathmatch, team matches, Capture the Flag, and other competitive formats across more than 18 maps. Steam features include 50 achievements, leaderboards, cloud storage for bindings and campaign progress, spectators, dedicated servers, and demo recording. The Serious Editor 3 allows level creation and sharing through Steamworks.
