Our take on Semispheres
The split-screen format makes coordination the central challenge, but it also divides attention between two characters throughout each puzzle. That trade-off favors deliberate planning and synchronized actions over a simpler single-character control scheme.
What is Semispheres?
Semispheres is a single-player puzzle game centered on two parallel realities.
Its split-screen structure places two characters under the player's control at the same time, requiring actions on the left and right sides to work together. More than 50 levels introduce ideas progressively and build toward increasingly complex puzzles. Players use portals, noise-makers, teleportation, side-swapping, and other abilities while avoiding sentries. The puzzle progression accompanies a story about a boy and his robot. The presentation combines warm blue and orange visuals with an ambient soundtrack composed by Sid Barnhoorn. The game uses stealth-inspired mechanics and asks players to devise and carry out plans across both sides of the screen.
