Our take on Screencheat
The party-shooter framing understates how different the central mechanic is from standard FPS play. Success depends on reading opponents’ screens, map landmarks, and weapon traces, so the game is built around information gathering as much as aiming and movement.
What is Screencheat?
Screencheat is a competitive split-screen first-person shooter in which every player is invisible and must locate opponents by viewing their screens.
Local and online matches support up to eight players, including mixed couch-and-online sessions, with team and free-for-all play. The arsenal includes one-hit-kill weapons with different firing behaviors and visual clues, such as smoke or fire trails. Nine modes include Deathmatch and Murder Mystery, across 11 maps marked by color-coded areas and landmarks. Solo time trials and AI bots provide practice options. Match settings cover weapon selection, swapping, reloading, time limits, victory conditions, penalties, and mutators such as slow mode, low gravity, and flappy jump.

- 05Eleven maps
- Maps use colored areas and landmarks such as statues, paintings, and furniture for navigation.
- 06Adjustable match rules
- Settings cover weapons, reloads, swaps, time limits, victory conditions, penalties, and movement mutators.
- 07Solo practice options
- Time trials and AI bots provide ways to train and learn maps without a full multiplayer group.
