- Players looking for a broad roster beyond the currently presented heroes may find the available selection restrictive.
Our take on Sandbox Showdown
Players who want carefully balanced competitive combat may bounce off when physics interactions and sharply different hero abilities become the deciding factor. Those expecting a large launch roster may also hit a wall after selecting from the nine currently listed heroes.
What is Sandbox Showdown?
Sandbox Showdown is a third-person physics brawler built around clashes between heroes and enemies drawn from different genres.
Players select from nine heroes, including a Soldier, Knight, Pirate, Wizard, Dwarf, Ninja, and Bulk, each with distinct abilities and combat styles. Battles can pair unlikely opponents, such as sword-wielding knights and gun-using soldiers or wizards and space marines. Enemy types include Knights, Space Marines, Zombies, Raptors, and Wizards. Vehicles from different eras, including motorcycles, four-wheelers, cars, and hover-bikes, can also be driven. Hero progression grants additional traits through the in-game store.
