Our take on Samurai Bringer
The store emphasis falls on technique combinations, legendary opponents, and recovering divine power. The core structure is repeated fights through changing stages, with progress expressed through loadouts and strength gained after defeat rather than a continuously unfolding adventure.
What is Samurai Bringer?
Samurai Bringer is a roguelite action game in which each playthrough changes the level layout, enemy placements, enemy types, and available Combat Scrolls.
Susanoo fights samurai and demons to recover lost divine strength and eventually challenge Yamata-no-Orochi, an eight-headed dragon. Combat techniques such as slices, thrusts, jumps, spinning attacks, fire attacks, and combo chains can be combined into custom loadouts. More than 100 warriors from Japanese legend and history, including Oda Nobunaga, Date Masamune, and Sanada Yukimura, appear as enemies. Defeating them grants weapons and armor with status effects. Falling in battle preserves progress toward stronger loadouts and continued attempts.
How Samurai Bringer plays
- 01Changing Battlefields
- Procedurally generated levels alter enemy arrangements, enemy types, and Combat Scroll availability between attempts.
- 02Technique Loadouts
- Combat Scrolls provide attacks such as thrusts, jumps, fire moves, and chained combos that can be arranged into different fighting styles.
- 03Legendary Warriors
- More than 100 figures from Japanese history and mythology can appear as opponents and reward victories with equipment.
- 04Persistent Progression
- Defeat does not remove everything, allowing loadouts and fighting styles to develop across attempts.
