Our take on Saber Survivors
The defining constraint is the saber's dual role as the only weapon and the means of turning enemy laser fire back against its source. Combat therefore centers on timing incoming attacks rather than selecting from a conventional arsenal.
What is Saber Survivors?
Saber Survivors is a survival action roguelike about a Space Wizard Samurai fleeing an emperor who has ordered the extermination of their kind.
The player uses a saber as the only weapon, deflecting enemy laser attacks and sending them back offensively. Runs include different disciplines to learn and combine for synergies, while Magic Space Chi remains available during the fight. The game uses an art style inspired by the 1980s. Its structure favors brief play sessions, with each session reaching its climax within no more than 15 minutes. The central objective is to survive while turning incoming laser fire against the enemies producing it.
