Our take on RPGScenery
The presentation emphasizes animated scenery and visual detail, while the practical scope is a session aid: released scenes, preset viewpoints, weather controls, playlists, and grid-based maps rather than a full tabletop campaign system.
What is RPGScenery?
Gives pen-and-paper RPG referees animated 3D environments for displaying adventure sites and encounter areas.
Each scene offers fixed camera viewpoints, adjustable atmospheric settings, and a real-time view of changing illumination. A map mode uses the same environment with a configurable grid for showing positions and movement during fights. Users can browse available environments, choose scenes for different campaigns, and organize them into playlists. The software animates environmental effects, including precipitation, mist, overcast skies, sunlight, and moonlight. Overhead maps present combat layouts, while three-dimensional views let groups examine each location from multiple directions.
