Unlike many strategy games centered on armies, territories, or empires, this game makes attraction design and guest management its central structure. Progress comes through shaping parks, operating rides, organizing staff, and balancing finances across themed scenarios rather than commanding combat units.
What is RollerCoaster Tycoon® Classic?
Build and operate theme parks across varied environments, using pre-made coaster designs or constructing rides piece by piece.
The game includes hundreds of roller coasters and attractions, plus shops, stalls, facilities, scenery, landscaping, and transport rides. Park management covers guest satisfaction, marketing, finances, profit, and staff organization. Progress through 95 scenarios from RollerCoaster Tycoon and RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, with 17 additional Wacky Worlds scenarios and 14 Time Twister scenarios. The included toolkit provides scenario creation, a ride designer for testing and refining coasters, and import and export for saved parks, scenarios, and rides.
