Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want a fixed dungeon layout may hit a wall with the randomly generated environments.
- Players seeking a dungeon crawler without town management may find the tower activities, crafting, and vendor upgrades a poor fit.
- Players looking for a puzzle-only game may not want the combat, loot collection, and spell progression.
Our take on Rogue Wizards
The likely sticking point is the return to the Wizard Tower between dungeon excursions: players who want to focus solely on dungeon runs may bounce when town building, crafting, vendor upgrades, and gear management become part of the loop.
What is Rogue Wizards?
Rogue Wizards combines dungeon exploration with building and upgrading a Wizard Tower.
Dungeons are randomly generated and contain enemies, traps, puzzles, treasures, and magic items. Players battle minions, collect loot, and use spells from six schools of magic, with each school offering spells that can be upgraded. Outside the dungeons, the tower serves as a base for building a town, brewing reagents, crafting or buying gear, improving magic, and recruiting help. Vendors around the tower can be upgraded to provide access to additional items and enchantments. Items can also be enchanted to alter their magical properties. The story concerns changing access to the Guild as magic declines among the elam and reappears among the banlits.
