Our take on Rock Simulator
The defining premise is that the player takes the role of a rock: progression comes from simply existing, gathering stones, and waiting to access skins and landscapes.
What is Rock Simulator?
Rock Simulator places the player in the role of a rock with no tasks beyond existing and observing the passage of time.
Starting in the Plains, the player gains experience while listening to nature sounds across different landscapes. Earned stones can be used to open rock skins, including the goal of becoming a golden rock. Additional maps become available through leveling, creating a progression structure built around remaining stationary and spending time in natural environments.
How Rock Simulator plays
- 01Rock Skin Progression
- Collected stones open additional appearances, including a golden rock option.
- 02Landscape Unlocks
- Experience gained from existing unlocks further maps beyond the starting Plains area.
- 03Nature Soundscapes
- Different environments provide accompanying sounds from nature while the rock remains in place.
