We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Puzzle players who enjoy physics-based mechanisms and logical problem solving
- Players who want to build stages with an in-game level editor
- Players interested in trying community-created puzzle levels
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking action-focused gameplay may find the mechanism-based puzzle progression too methodical.
- Players who prefer fixed, short campaigns may hit a wall when the editor and player-created levels become part of the experience.
- Players looking for a story-driven adventure may find the focus on mechanisms and level completion too narrow.
Our take on RoboBall
The bounce point arrives when a puzzle requires several physical objects to cooperate: a ball, barrel, or crate may need to hold a trigger while another mechanism is activated. Players who prefer direct controls may stall at these chained interactions.
What is RoboBall?
RoboBall is a physics-and-logic puzzle game in which players guide a spherical robot through mechanisms to reach a teleporter at each level’s end.
Stages feature buttons, laser controls, doors, lifts, turbines, and other machinery. Metal spheres, barrels, and crates can perform tasks the robot cannot manage alone, and those objects may also depend on the robot. A built-in editor, used to make every level in the game, lets players arrange fixed components, including areas, routes, transparent pipes, and metal rails.
Interactive components include doors, lifts, and machines that generate spheres, crates, or barrels. Switches change linked objects’ state when pressed; pressure triggers keep linked objects active while something rests on them. Players can publish levels they create and play levels made by others.
How RoboBall plays
- 01Physics Puzzles
- Progress requires coordinating the robot with metal balls, barrels, crates, and environmental mechanisms.
- 02Mechanism Controls
- Buttons can operate doors and elevators or deactivate turbines that block physical objects.
- 03Level Workshop
- The editor supports static elements, active machines, movable objects, and publishable player-created stages.
- 04Two Button Types
- Switches toggle linked devices, while triggers maintain activation only while an object stays on them.
- 05Player Levels
- Published workshop stages from other players are available to play.
