Our take on ROAM: Wild Horse Simulator
The bounce point arrives when town trouble turns into capture: causing chaos is optional, but choosing it leads to an escape sequence while townsfolk resist. Players who prefer uninterrupted exploration may also stop at the hunger and energy requirements that govern herd care.
What is ROAM: Wild Horse Simulator?
ROAM is a sandbox simulation set in a wild-west open world, where the player controls a wild horse.
The horse editor supports changes to appearances, names, ages, and genders for the player’s horse and five herd members. Horses can be added through rescues or breeding, with foals growing over time. The herd requires food and energy management, and a safe oasis provides a place to rest and eat. Players can switch control between horses, explore the world, and choose between caring for the herd or creating trouble in local towns. Attacking townsfolk can lead to capture, after which the player must escape while facing resistance from the townsfolk.
