Our take on Rhythm Rush!
The focus on player-supplied songs makes music selection a central part of play, but it also leaves the experience dependent on having compatible tracks ready to add.
What is Rhythm Rush!?
Rhythm Rush!
uses music files chosen by the player to drive its gameplay. Add songs by placing them in a folder; the game supports MP3, OGG, and WAV files. Three modes use the music’s beat in different ways: FOLLOW involves tracking a changing line while avoiding hazards, DODGE centers on evading beat-timed obstacles, and FIGHT combines line-following with attacks against enemy waves. The game includes eight maps with distinct appearances and color options, plus three bosses that can be unlocked. Four preset difficulty levels and a custom difficulty setting offer different challenge settings. Players can track statistics, compare them with friends, earn achievements, and rank up by playing more songs at higher difficulties.
