Rex Rocket is a 2D platformer set aboard the S.
S. Montana, where Captain Rexford or Rexanna must stop a rogue ship AI after escaped bio-engineered creatures endanger the crew. Movement includes shooting, wall-jumping, and firing a laser downward for an aerial boost. More than 100 connected levels contain puzzles, enemies, hazards, bosses, routes, and collectibles. Players collect weapons and upgrades, gather Info Nodes about the ship and its inhabitants, and explore a light-hearted science-fiction story. The game uses handmade pixel art, retro sound effects, and a chiptune soundtrack by Saskrotch. The soundtrack contains 37 tracks. Players can choose the gender of the hero.
