Our take on Rewrite+
The store copy gives considerable attention to Kazamatsuri, its festival, and the mystery surrounding Kotarou, but says little about the structure of play. The result is a clear story premise without much indication of how investigation or player interaction works.
What is Rewrite+?
Rewrite+ follows Tennouji Kotarou, who lives with friends Kanbe Kotori and Yoshino Haruhiko in Kazamatsuri, a city built around coexistence between civilization and nature.
Each year, the city hosts the large Harvest Festival, where Kotarou gathers information about rumors involving unidentified creatures and occult subjects. After mysterious incidents affect him, he accepts help from Senri Akane, president of the Occult Research Society, and begins investigating events involving his classmates. The story moves from everyday life with an energetic group into a journey linked to a hidden truth and the possibility of changing fate. First released in 2016, Rewrite+ adds content and updates to the original Rewrite.
