Our take on ReversEstory
The store copy foregrounds mysterious revelations and the game’s dramatic premise, but gives much more concrete information about movement, dungeon generation, weapons, and character differences than about the story itself.
What is ReversEstory?
ReversEstory is a 2D roguelike action shooter built around free 360-degree flight and procedurally generated dungeons.
Players defeat enemies to open treasure chests containing weapons, then use collected items to progress deeper into the abyss. A run ends with the loss of its accumulated progress, leaving player skill and dungeon knowledge as the basis for future attempts. Different characters feature distinct progression systems, level designs, and bosses. The game also includes a Metroidvania mode alongside its roguelike structure. Controller use is recommended.

ReversEstory compared to similar games
ReversEstory combines 360-degree flight, shooting, procedural dungeons, and run-ending loss of progress, while Sundered: Eldritch Edition is described as a chaotic Metroidvania with hand-crafted levels.
