Our take on Requiescence
The bounce point arrives when the game shifts into extended visual-novel reading: players expecting regular combat or exploration may find the story, choices, and romance routes too text-led. The three-route structure also requires returning to narrative decisions for a fuller view of the endings.
What is Requiescence?
Requiescence is a 2D visual novel following Kymil, a young ice mage investigating the murder of his uncle.
His search leads to a mysterious cathedral in the Dead Plains, where he explores the circumstances surrounding the death and the secrets connected to it. Player choices alter the story’s direction, with three male romance routes that change later sections and lead to six possible endings. The game contains 125,000 words and is intended to run for 10–15 hours. Its presentation combines Western and anime-inspired artwork, including 17 CGs and 13 characters with distinct expressions.
