Our take on Reflection
Reflection replaces a conventional puzzle setting with a mirrored counterpart that can be changed and entered. Its seven chapters combine this spatial rule with painted Chinese-inspired scenery and a narrative drawn from Dream of the Red Chamber.
What is Reflection?
Reflection is a Chinese virtual-reality puzzle adventure built around mirrors and a parallel realm.
Players modify a location’s mirrored form, then cross into that altered space to tackle problems based on logic, physics, spatial arrangement, time, and related concepts. Seven chapters organize the experience, each applying the central mirror rule to a different set of challenges. The presentation draws on Chinese art, pairing quiet, expansive scenery with a painted look and the fictional Grand Sight Garden. Its story echoes Jia Baoyu’s journey into a fairyland from a classic Chinese novel. The puzzles evoke cause and effect, existence, and rebirth. An electronic score is blended with sounds and styles linked to traditional Chinese music.
How Reflection plays
- 01Mirror World Manipulation

- 02Seven Themed Chapters

- 04Chinese-Inspired Settings

- 05Literary Narrative
