Our take on Red Town
The absence of hints makes every investigation step uncertain, while fatal encounters raise the cost of choosing the wrong path. That design trades guidance and forgiveness for a more demanding mystery built around atmosphere and exploration.
What is Red Town?
Red Town is an adventure game set in a remote village that vanished from maps.
A traveler reaches the settlement as night approaches and must find a hotel before continuing the journey, while also looking for its remaining villagers. The village has a history of starvation, government-ordered relocation, and concealed references to its existence. An abandoned coal mine is believed to be nearby, and a group sent to explore the area lost contact several days after arriving. Exploration uses black-and-white visuals with a red hue and music that changes with locations and situations. Encounters with villagers can be fatal when the wrong path is chosen. No hints are provided during exploration.
