Our take on Re:Fresh
Rather than centering its adventure on combat or danger, Re:Fresh replaces that expectation with town restoration, collectible hunting, movement upgrades, and conversations with animal and robot residents. Its short 1.5-hour structure also departs from the extended progression common in exploration-focused games.
What is Re:Fresh?
Re:Fresh is a 3D exploration-platformer collectathon set in a solarpunk town recovering from a torrential storm.
Players run, jump, and dash through an open-ended environment while gathering materials for repairs. Solar cells provide energy for jumping and dashing, and collecting them unlocks movement upgrades. The game also includes townsfolk to meet, with each character offering distinct dialogue and information about the community. Exploration can follow an individual pace, with solar cells placed throughout the town’s areas. The estimated playtime is 1. 5 hours.
