RPGIs Re:Blade worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Action roguelike players who want cursor-driven combat with automatic attacks
- Players who prefer shaping one weapon through cards, relic sets, and upgrade choices
- Players who enjoy boss-focused runs with progression that carries between attempts
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a broad arsenal rather than a game centered on one sword
- Players who want direct attack-by-attack control instead of auto-attacks
- Players looking for a non-repeating structure without run-based progression
Our take on Re:Blade
Rather than centering a growing collection of weapons, the game keeps the focus on one sword and changes its development through awakening cards, relic combinations, and reclaimable upgrades. Its cursor-driven controls and automatic attacks also depart from direct-combat expectations.
What is Re:Blade?
Re:Blade is a cursor-driven incremental action roguelike built around a single sword.
Auto-attacks handle combat while each stage places a boss in the path toward the final encounter. Awakening cards shape the blade, with every weapon offering its own progression tree. Defeated enemies can leave relic chests; completing a relic set activates linked effects. Boss victories grant Enlightenment Points, which can be spent on build upgrades and reclaimed when needed. The game also records defeated enemies and reached milestones, allowing later runs to grow from previous progression. Each run changes the blade through card choices, relic combinations, and upgrade selections.
How Re:Blade plays
- 01Auto-Attack Combat
- Combat uses automatic sword attacks while cursor input drives the action.
- 02Awakening Cards
- Card selections shape the blade and open a distinct development path for each weapon.
- 03Relic Set Effects
- Enemies may leave chests containing relics, and completing a set activates connected effects.
- 04Reclaimable Upgrades
- Boss victories provide Enlightenment Points for upgrades that can later be taken back.
- 05Run Records
- Defeated enemies and reached milestones are recorded for progression across later runs.
