Razenroth is a dark action shooter with roguelike and RPG elements.
Its levels, weather, and the placement and number of key items change randomly, so each game differs. Players fight dozens of creatures and bosses with spells, potions, equipment, and other objects. The story follows journalist Charles Carter as he enters a nightmare world to investigate his grandfather’s disappearance. More than 200 objects can be found, including clothing, talismans, rings, amulets, books, and magical items. Defeating monsters grants experience for improving health, mana, damage, and more than a dozen skills. Random events can create tasks, while the house provides healing and purchases. Additional characters become available through continued play.
