We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who enjoy surreal exploration across many connected worlds
- Players who like discovering routes without a fully explained starting structure
- Players interested in mapping locations and finding every world
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a conventional linear level sequence may find the cube-based structure disorienting.
- Players who prefer immediately explained mechanics may find the need to work out how to play frustrating.
- Players looking for a game centered on combat or role-playing progression may find its exploration focus too narrow.
Our take on Ramiwo
Instead of presenting exploration as a continuous route or a conventional level sequence, Ramiwo places its 96 worlds on a cube. Finding the correct position and selecting one of four gates becomes the main structural challenge, with the rules partly left for players to discover.
What is Ramiwo?
Ramiwo is a first-person exploration game set across 96 worlds arranged on a cube.
Each world has four gates leading to other worlds, and players must determine their location on the cube before choosing a marked exit. The map records discovered worlds with pictures, while undiscovered locations remain hidden. Part of the game involves working out how to play, with mystery and surprises forming part of the exploration. Movement uses WASD, looking uses the mouse, the map opens with Space, and Escape exits the game. Render width and height can be changed through the developer console by entering commands such as r_width 800 and r_height 600.
