Our take on Raise Your Own Clone
The defining structure is a four-part text adventure in which decisions, randomized events, and customized story elements carry consequences across connected tales.
What is Raise Your Own Clone?
This text-based interactive fiction follows four connected stories in Starkham, centered on the late Dr.
Cyrus Stansfield and his cloning machine. Players advance by making decisions that produce different consequences, including randomized events and outcomes. Before each story, adjustable elements can be set in a Mad Libs-style setup, with those changes carrying into later chapters. The episodes follow Marsch, Dr. Stansfield's nephew; the doctor himself; Madelyn, a girl affected by the machine; and Aloysius, one of Marsch's surviving clones. The game records personal and global statistics, tracks progress through story branches, and includes achievements. Story 1 is available in full for free, while the complete release contains four stories.
