The game replaces the usual street, fantasy, or medieval backdrop of a beat ’em up with a company workplace. Its central objective also reverses the usual success story: the protagonist’s adventure is built around quitting by defeating the organization.
What is QUIT TODAY?
An ordinary morning at the company becomes a fight when colleagues believe the protagonist is about to resign and turn against them.
To discover what happened, the protagonist uses a briefcase for protection while moving through different departments. After seeing the company’s darker side, the goal becomes leaving by defeating the company. The game features beat ’em up combat against colleagues whose behavior cannot be resolved through conversation. During the journey, players choose skills and use resources acquired at random.
Partners can be called into battles for support. Their departments also provide ways to improve combat abilities or change the company’s working environment. The workplace setting, resignation story, department encounters, skill choices, random resources, and partner assistance form the game’s main structure.
