Our take on Pylon: Rogue
The defining structure is a one-life run through procedurally changing maps and item selections, with timing-based attacks and RPG progression layered into the attempt.
What is Pylon: Rogue?
Pylon: Rogue combines arcade hack-and-slash fighting with RPG character progression.
Each attempt gives the player one life to reach the end, while maps and item selections change from run to run. Four heroes offer different classes and combat roles: a paladin, stone golem, assassin, and archer. Attacks use a one-button system for combos and charged strikes, with timing shaping combat. Players can collect, combine, and level items that add damage effects, alongside unusual power-ups such as the Rubber Ducky and Non-Organic Orange. Unlockable items provide additional choices across repeated attempts. Heroes also have distinct weapon sets, although some listed weapons are marked as locked for further development.
