Our take on PuzzleQuest: Challenge of the Warlords
The game trades the simplicity of standalone match-3 puzzles for layered progression: battles, spells, equipment, companions, and empire growth. That added structure gives the campaign a broader shape, but leaves less room for players who want only immediate tile-matching rounds.
What is PuzzleQuest: Challenge of the Warlords?
A match-3 puzzle game built around battles against computer-controlled opponents.
Players combine crystal tiles to fill a spell inventory, then use those spells to interfere with an opponent's matching and reduce their score. Skull tiles deal damage, while experience tiles provide immediate experience. A single-player campaign contains more than 150 quests across the Kingdom of Etheria. Winning battles develops a heroic character, expands an empire through captured cities and castles, and adds companions to the party. Earned money can be spent on equipment such as helms, weapons, and armor. Quick-play mode offers shorter standalone match-3 battles outside the campaign.
