Our take on Pulseball
The focused ball-and-gun format keeps the premise direct, but it also limits variety: the game currently centers on two maps, several multiplayer modes, and a single-player training option rather than a broader range of arenas and activities.
What is Pulseball?
Pulseball combines sports gameplay with first-person shooter mechanics in competitive multiplayer matches.
Players move through arenas and use a pulse gun to propel the ball toward goals. The ball and weapon use realistic physics, allowing shots to rebound from walls, ceilings, and other players. The game currently includes two maps, several multiplayer modes, and a single-player training mode. A recently added mode expands the multiplayer options. Gun classes are also available, along with limited virtual reality support. The controls are presented as quick to learn, while the central activity remains moving around in first person, shooting the ball, and scoring goals.
